Animal Success Stories

Happy Tails are the heartwarming stories of our rescued cats and kittens in their new homes. We hope you enjoy reading about them as much as we enjoy hearing from our adoptiove homes. This is the part that makes everything we do worth doing ...

Rufus nka Ricky
Rufus nka Ricky

Rufus now has a new name. He has long legs and kinda prances when he walks - and is quite graceful. So his new dad named him "Ricky" after the guy who won this year (2014) on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance.

Ricky is doing quite well in his new home. He has made friends with the resident cat "Opie" who delights in giving Ricky a bath (wish you could see the video). Although he can be a handful at times, his new dad reports that he is very sweet, cute and happy.

Rosie

Here is Rosie with her new dad. She is obviously quite settled in and right at home! They love her.

Rio kna Bailey
Rio kna Bailey

Rio was adopted with his brother Rigby. Their new mom was kind enough to send us this update: Thank you for the message! They're doing great. Their new names are Bailey and Jack (white spots). They're playful, they love people and love to snuggle, and they've fit in here so well-everyone loves them! They put on all of the weight they needed, and are healthy and energetic. I'm so happy I decided to adopt them, and love them so much. Thank you for your care! I included a couple of pictures for you.

Rose
Rose

Dozer and Rose (nka Posie) were adopted in December of 2005. Their family has since moved to Seattle and recently sent us this update:

Rose NKA Posie is the sweetest little girl. She is very active and can occupy herself for hours with her toys. Her favorite is a beat up mouse that she drags around the house and sleeps with it. It seems to be more like a teddy bear to her than "her kill." She sometimes hoards all her toys and puts them in a pile and then guards them. She hates water and is a very picky eater. She only likes one type of food and one type of treat, anything else she turns up her nose and walks away. She is also very vocal and seems to carry on conversations with her family. She is always looking for attention and hates to be alone.

Both cats seem to have adjusted to Seattle quit well. They have the windows open more, so they enjoy the fresh air. They both were curious with the snow it.

In closing, the family writes that the cats bring a lot of joy and laughter and they are lucky to be together in life.
