Peppy
Suzanne has found a forever home for Peppy! Finally :-)
This is a long story with many twists and a happy ending.
Peppy became abandoned when her original owner suffered a stroke. The neighbor lady (Suzanne) started taking care of her but the ultimate goal was to find her a new home. She had a few "false starts" with Peppy not staying put at the new home. But finally, success!
Suzanne has gone the distance. She took Peppy to her new home last Tuesday and spent 3 hours with her just walking her around the property and showing her where her food/water and shelter was and letting her know everything was going to be okay for her to stay. The family kept her confined except when they were with her to walk her around until they felt comfortable she had bonded with them and she wouldn't run off. She is now living it up outside on 4 acres with mom, dad, two girls and one on the way, an older papillon and chickens and adjusting very well.
This was definitely the situation where a community pulled together to help a homeless cat. After one "false start" when Peppy ran away from the new home, Suzanne posted flyers to find Peppy. One guy that saw the flyers sent an email to the neighborhood association with information about Peppy and how much she needed a home. It was the result of this posting that her final furever home was located. It was this man's son and daughter-in-law that took Peppy into their hearts.
She is about 10 miles away from her original home and quite happy. Funny how sometimes a bad situation can lead to a happy ending. I guess things happen for a reason.
Pookie
Pookie did just great getting settled with his new family. They renamed him "Trunks" and he quickly adjusted to his new name. The family reports that he has had "No problems whatsoever", and that he's an angel. He is very social with people. His new mom LOVEs him to death! She sent new photos for his page that you can see by clicking on his name.
